Shining a light on such pressing issues as child labor, poverty, and illiteracy, but shrouding them under the cloak of a feel-good story about hope and friendship, director Rajan Khosa delivers a film that’s likely to appeal to both adults and younger audiences

No mawkish melodrama here; its sensitivity and a wry sense of humour bring the film alive. Unhurried and measured

A charming film which will appeal to both children and adults. Because it doesn’t patronise or talk down to its young cast, nor to its potential viewers

Indian Express

The script flows effortlessly and ends at a point where you exit the auditorium with a smile on your face.

Gattu scores high on the emotional quotient. It leaves you with a smile on your face

It subtly throws light on compelling issues like child illiteracy and child labour without shouting from terrace-tops or turning into a preachy docu-drama. In one moment the story is purely simple, and in the other it's profound enough to move you, if not theatrically shock you

Times of India

Gattu is yet another gem that Hindi film industry can be proud of. A definite watch for people of all age groups
