Ishqiya is a lot of aimless love, sex aur dhokha

"Something's missing." Yeah, Ishqiya is one of those films that leaves with you that feeling. Once you believe in the story, its well told. But even after the plot has unfolded there's a huge gap in understanding the characters.

Curry Western? Masala Noir? Whatever the genre, Abhishek Chaubey’s directorial debut is a spicy treat served straight up from the India we don’t get to see a lot of.

Abhishek Choubey, a Vishal Bharadwaj protege, shines in his debut by following in the footsteps of his mentor. Intermittently flawed, but a brilliant debut effort, Ishqiya combines the power of impeccable casting, powerhouse performances, lilting music & an arresting rustic charm to present an unforgettable cinematic experience. If only the film had been trimmed of its last 10 minutes.

- ishq mein chu**ya banane to ishqIYA kehte hain!!!

There is no reason to not watch this entertainer. Its short sweet and makes a story out of a very simple revenge theme.
Great music & background score complements the well portrayed characters - beautifully bought to life by the three leads (Vidya balan, Arshad warsi & Naseeruddin Shah)

What a wonderful movie! Great story, very good acting, very nice songs. What more could you expect? Its a must watch movie.
