Arjun Bhagwat is a Goan ex-cop who earns his bread doing all the wrong and odd jobs. His family was so troubled by their poverty that it became difficult for them to survive. For Arjun, money became a priority and the basis for any job he took up. Arjun meets Sameer, a Goan gangster who has been suffering a huge loss as his hookers have been running away. He immediately assigns Arjun for the job offering him a huge sum and knowing his skills of investigation as an ex-cop in order to find those girls.

Priya, a young girl who plays a model in the film, is deeply in love with Arjun. However, he is hesitant to admit it as for him the only thing that matters is money. Thru his investigation, Priya does not understand his hesitance in giving a name to their relationship. Whilst investigating, Arjun realizes that the girls missing are connected by one cell phone number. He decides that in order to catch the lion one must feed him the lamb. He devises a plan that involves sending a girl to that particular customer.

Here comes in Reshma, a young college girl who is into the profession of prostitution in order to feed and support her family. She becomes the innocent prey, and is then sent to the antagonists' house, Dheeraj Pandey. The unexpected happens as we reveal that Dheeraj is a serial killer who plays a eunuch in the film. He is a sex addict and hence, decides to brutally murder women. But as fate has it, thru the journey of investigation, Arjun and Dheeraj cross paths. Arjun gets into a tiff with Dheeraj and they both land up at the police station. Dheeraj being the sociopath admits to a crime so heinous that even the police gets shocked by his behavior. Now it's all upto Arjun Bhagwat. He has one night to find some proof in order to keep Dheeraj in jail. He needs to find Reshma because he begins to feel guilty about his plan of sending her as bait. He realizes that Reshma's background is similar to his and hence, feels compassion towards her. Thru his investigation, he meets several people who have had an encounter with this serial killer including his family and a hooker who managed to escape.

Things don't go as planned and Dheeraj leaves the police station as a free bird as there is no evidence against him. Meanwhile, the next victim on his list turns out to be Priya. Again, it is crucial for us to understand that Bollywood’s definition of ‘sequel’ is all that the word doesn’t presuppose. It helps us to set realistic expectations - as in - not expecting another married woman to have a rocking extramarital affair of the kind where saliva is exchanged in litres.

The uncomfortable feeling which makes you jump in your seat - that is Murder 2's success. It's one of those films where you come out with only the villain and what he is capable of. If you can handle creepy, sexual violence, go for it. It is sure to provide "that" kind of a thrill.

Murder 2 has its share of cliched settings and dialogues. But even while it revisits a lot of films, Bollywood, Hollywood and beyond, its fast-paced story-telling leaves you no time to ponder over the fact.

Life's been a bitch for ex-cop Arjun Bhagwat (Emraan Hashmi) who ergo is ready to give it back. But he breaks yet again. Hashmi was great in OUTIM. Here he hams through a few dialogues while looks unaffected in others.

There isn't much of Jacqueline Fernandes, but whatever little, she gets the mercury level high every time. Sadly though, the chemistry between her and Emraan Hashmi is dry.

The bad guy Prashant Narayanan's presence looms large in the film. He's done some amazing work in Waise Bhi Hota Hai and the recently released Bhindi Bazaar. [In 2003, the Keralite actor starred in Academy Award winning German director Gallenberger's Shadows of Time]. He's one reason you should go out and watch this movie for!
(Tidbits - Mahesh Bhatt, apparently, isn't done with his share of murders yet. 3 and 4 are in the offing.]

One more poor freemake of Korean Movie "The Chaser". I don't know why these guys go after free-making SE asian movies, instead of using their own mind and come up with some innovative story or idea.

Long Live Indian Cinema.

Its better to call this film as 'just' a vishesh bhatt film wid just carrying the name 'Murder' as a franchaise....dats it....
this film tries very hard to be Erotic and maybe somehow its even successful at it..
and yes ... jacqueline was just a silly hype....honestly ...she is blank in d whole movie.
This movie actually revolves around an ex-cop played by emran hashmi who'z very depressed wid his lyfe for some reason( Honestly ...i still cudnt figure out wat d reason actually was!) newyas...this also is the story of a girl names reshma , a newcomer in prostitution who gets trapped into a Psychopath fellows hands (played beautifully by prashant narayanan).
Taking its inspiration from Gore hollywood movies..dis movie actually gives the viewer a feeling dat is necessary..wich is impressive.
Prashants coldblodded acting and the way he sings ' bheege honth tere' is something which should be watched out for...

Watch it only if u really wanna .....or else..wait for Good quality torrents!..;)
