From marrying a young-looking-supposedly-old Major Edwin Rodriques (Neil Nitin Mukesh) to the attempt of seducing a boyish Arun (Vivaan Shah) whom she raised, from being in the illusion of love to turn love into a weapon and from being girlish to a ghastly woman hiding her white strands of hair in a secret box....

This movie is worth watching just for Priyanka Chopra's performance. The rest of the lead cast is only a bonus. Now how I wish, there was a little bit of a surprise in the narration or at least I understood even half of why the characters behaved the way they did. Now if the only explanation is weird attracts weird and together they all get weirder, either I didn't get the film or it is one zany experience that didn't go down all that well with me. And yet I wouldn't have wanted to miss watching this one.

7 Khoon Maaf is not a bad film by any measure. Though the standards Vishal has set for himself with his prior track record are so high that it comes across as almost offensive in its mediocrity. The good news is that the failure is restricted to just the writing. Not that this redeems the film even in the least bit, but then, all’s not lost for the Vishal fans who have been incessantly screaming out their outrage ever since the film released.

The film might have a unique angle to it, but it’s not very interesting. Why is Susanna worth watching ? What makes this film worth watching ? I did not care too much about Susanna or her seven husbands. If there was pathos in Susanna’s search for true love (and I thought that was what Bharadwaj was going for), I did not see it. If we were meant to nod our heads in silent sympathy to one poor soul (and so what if she’s nuts ?) looking for happiness, I’m not sure I got the memo. And the number game – whew ! Seven really ? After a while it grew dreary, and you were waiting for the seven husbands to show up (3 down, 4 to go . . .) so you could finish the movie and be done with it – reminded me of “What’s your Rashee ?”. Plus the film has a really wimpy ending.

Saat Khoon Maaf, I seriously hope that Vishal should have called this film by some other name, from opening scene it is like seven murder to go and the only interest is how & when. Susanna’s some husbands(Neil) are scary and deserved to be killed. Film is laced with beautiful dialogues music & shayari ( Sar jhukate hain to khuda paon kheench leta hai). One dialogue sums up the movie “ Jaldi Jaldi shadi Karo aur aaram se pachtao”. Irfan & Kashmir sequence is like a patch & looks forced. Mention of Berlin Wall and VP Singh are fine touches to show the 45 year period in Susanna’s life it reminds u off Forrest Gump.
