Wasseypur is no more the town that was once consumed by the raging war between Sardar Khan and Ramadhir Singh. It has spawned a new generation of money squandering lobbyists, turning into foolhardy gangs overnight. While both Gow Part 1 & 2 are landmarks in Hindi cinema, I’ve got to say that I liked Part 2 better. While Part 1 was just as arresting, it took a while for the story to get interesting. In Part 2 it’s full steam ahead, right from the get-go. It’s bloody and vengeful, with it’s fair share of narrow gali chases, and gun fights. But it also has dark humor. A gorgeous successor to Part 1 and well deserving of the full 5 stars, Gow2 is a must-watch.

Gangs of Wasseypur II delivers on the promise of being a quirky revenge saga. A saga which holds no bars and lets loose the internal animal which revenge itself seems to have given birth to. A saga so full of characters that a keen film-lover would want to watch twice – only if they can stomach the violence in almost every frame and profanity in every other sentence. Others, shouldn't even bother.

Word of mouth: Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2 is this decade’s Satya.

Rating : **** ( Very Good)

Ticket meter: worth watching at any cost

Gangs of Wasseypur 2 puts many laris-fuljharis on the way of the rassi bomb that finally explodes bombastically in between your legs during the climax bloodshed with the ear-deafening KKL in background. And as you walk out of the theater you'll find yourself wearing the style and attitude of the characters.

Watch this as many times as you can and you'll be stunned with the minute details each time. For supreme entertainment, I recommend you watching both the parts of this epic saga back to back and experience the cult in making!
