An engaging, must-be-heard story told with great balance. Yet, half-hearted focus on relationships distracts from the main story. The keen must watch on screen; else DVD.

The next time, Jha needs to make sure that the car has enough oil to travel the long path.

Chakravyuh - What would you if everybody is after your only means of livelihood, your land. What would you do if even after living in extreme poverty, people want to take away your existence. Produced and directed by Prakash Jha, its a tale of two sides of Indian society.

Its about two friends, Adil (Arjun Rampal) a honest officer and Kabir (Abhay Deol), who follows his heart. Adil moves to Naxal area (Nandighat) and Kabir infiltrate into the gang with the sole intention of helping Adil to stop the Naxal movement. But the equations change soon enough and things get complicated.

It focuses on the Naxalite movement, besides focusing on the plight of tribals caught between the Naxals and police/politicians on the other and most importantly, it raises the burning issue of progress vs human rights . Jha uses the locations of MP to give the real life feel to the events. It has striking similarities to Namak Haraam and Paan Singh Tomar.

Its about ideologies, changing loyalties, greed, right and wrong. Prakash Jha walks the thin line between realistic cinema & commercialism and come out as a real winner. Prakash Jha has tackled various Political controversies and social issues with massive impact in the past. He has researched and handled this subject very well.

No one can complain about Abhay Deol, solid as ever. Its Arjun Rampal's best performance so far. There is little scope of floundering from stalwarts like Om Puri & Manoj Bajpai. Anjali Patil is a revelation and she is here to stay.

Its an engaging drama. For me it was a real entertainer, 50% class and 50% Jhakass. The ideal combination. I would go for a 4 and yes this one is not for kids. I went 1st day 1st show after a long time and wasn't disappointing.

There are rights and wrongs on the both sides. The real issue is that things are not simple black and white in life. Lal Salaam.

Its a good movie not the best , but in a whole package. In parts its boring. There is lack of quality in every dept. . If you have some interest in real issues it is manageable, otherwise you will suffer.;
