Aisha Movie Review
Aisha (Hindi)
Release Date:
Synopsis:Aisha is a girl with a simple diktat - everyone's business is her business. Arjun is a boy with even a simpler set of beliefs - Aisha should mind her own business. Caught in the Delhi upper class world with its own set of social rules, Aisha navigates her world with a great sense of style and even greater optimism.
Caught in her web are her best friend Pinky, the small town girl Shefali, the west Delhi boy Randhir and the hunk Dhruv. Aisha will make sure everyone dances to her tune. And all Arjun wants to do is disentangle that web and get Aisha out of an impending sticky mess. Who will succeed and who will succumb? Welcome to Aisha's fabulous world where playing cupid is as easy as 123...if only that Arjun would stay out of her way!
The leads aren’t all that they should’ve been, but the unhurried atmosphere around them makes for a moderately engaging diversion
Read full reviewSuperficial and shallow like its protagonist, Aisha is a tiring film about a meddlesome, match-making millionaire
Read full reviewThe same bummers meet over and over again, with little to say, or do. Littler makes sense. Or is even meant to
Read full reviewAisha, quite often, gets caught up in a self-created tangle of brand-led vanity to ever let one get acquainted to its leading lady
Read full reviewPatchy writing and direction leads to the film feeling more like a string of episodes, of which only a few are lively and engaging
Read full reviewAisha has the cosmetic trappings of a modern romcom or chick flick, but is painfully bereft of good cinematic moments and style
Read full reviewIt’s a light, frothy weekend watch, the kind of film which disappears along with the popcorn in your tub
Read full reviewWhat starts as a cheerful chick flick sadly ends up being a lame love story.
Read full reviewWatch Aisha for its simple storytelling. It’s also got the heart of a classic
Read full reviewAisha is watchable for two factors mainly: Neat performances, especially by Sonam Kapoor and Amit Trivedi's super musical score.
Read full reviewSweet love, substantial performances, super fun, slick 'n stylish, Aisha is a-ha stuff.
Read full reviewAisha doesn't have the perfect script in the least, but it has all that it takes to thoroughly enjoy a film
