There is no other way to get past it than to just sit back and laugh out at the intended and unintended hilarity

Instead of reproducing a perfectly nuanced screenplay as it is, it tries to act too smart, with excessive elements and needless tampering, in the process making a complete fool of itself

The sharpness is missing. The badass-ness is missing. And the fun is missing

A few thrilling action sequences, atrocious writing, vapid dialogues and insufferable performances

Players is the kind of film that lacks a cohesive vision

Amidst slapstick car chase and convoluted execution, the thriller never registers the requisite impact. The pacing is intentionally kept fast to cover up the numerous loopholes in narrative

The writing is juvenile, the dialogues a joke, the acting over-the-top, yet everyone seems to be taking themselves so seriously, you can't help but see the funny side to it

Bollywood has realized it can camouflage its lack of stories with lots of thrills, chases, heists making the location exotic and the villains international

Players isn’t meant to be funny or even droll, just a pacy thriller. If only the acting were better

It is deficient of a captivating screenplay

Music by Pritam is good while it lasts. Some editing sorely needed, visual imagery quite polished, and the look as usual is of new age Bollywood
